Letter to Chief Minister

The Hon'ble Chief Minister,

State of A.P.,

Respected Sir,

As you know that on 02-06-1998 in the State Level Advisory Board meeting itself, it has been decided that one day in a year should be observed as "ANTI DOWRY DAY". But, till date unfortunately neither the TDP Government nor the Congress Government takes any steps in that direction.

It is need less to say that the harassment cases in the name of dowry are increasing day by day and there is absolutely nothing is being done to curb this dowry menace and create awareness amongst the public.

We, therefore request your good self to look into the matter and issue directions to all the concerned (The Collectors, The Protection Officers, The Department of Education etc.) to observe this Anti Dowry Day on 26th November, and do the things as decided in the said meeting for the purpose of creating awareness amongst the general public about the ill effects of dowry.

On behalf of LOK SATTA PARTY we are ready to cooperate with the government in creating this awareness.

We hope as the incharge of Women Welfare ministry your good self will take immediate decision on this.

Thanking you.

Sincerely Yours

(C.V.L. Narasimha Rao).
