DELHI GOVERNMENT SHOULD REDUCE VAT ON CNG, PETROL & DIESEL

LOK SATTA PARTY HOPES DELHI GOVERNMENT WILL CONSIDER REDUCING VAT ON PETROL AND DIESEL ON THE LINES OF GOA WHERE THE PRICE OF PETROL HAS BEEN REDUCED BY RS 11. DELHI IS LEVYING 20% VAT ON PETROL & DIESEL AND 12.50% ON CNG AND EVEN A 15 % DECREASE IN PETROL AND 10% DECREASE IN CNGWILL RESULT IN MINIMUM SAVINGS OF RS 3 IN CNG, RS. 8-9 IN PETROL AND RS.6 IN DIESEL CONSIDERABLY REDUCING PROBLEMS FOR THE COMMON MAN WHO IS REELING UNDER HIGH PRICES OF FOOD PRODUCTS AND TRANSPORTATION- REMARKED MR. ANURAG KEJRIWAL – PRESIDENT OF LOK SATTA

HIGH VAT ON CNG, PETROL & DIESEL IS SURELY HAVING A RIPPLE EFFECT ON THE PRICES OF COMMODITIES AND MOVEMENT OF PEOPLE BY MASS TRANSPORT.

"COMMON MAN IS REELING UNDER HIGH PRICES , LOW JOB AVAILABILITY DUE TO SLOW DOWN OF ECONOMY, HIGHER COMMUTING COST AND FURTHER INSENSITIVITY ON PART OF THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTROL HIGH PRICES IS SUFFOCATING THE COMMON MAN " COMMENTED THE PARTY SPOKESPERSON.

REDUCTION IN FUEL PRICES IS NOT ONLY - FOR TWO/FOUR WHEELER OR BUSES BUT WILL HAVE A CASCADING EFFECT IN REDUCING THE BURDEN OF HIGH FOOD PRICES, AS LOWER CNG PETROL & DIESEL PRICES WILL RESULT IN REDUCED PRICES FOR FOOD ARTICLES OF MASS CONSUMPTION AND MAKE ROAD TRANSPORTATION WITHIN REACH OF COMMON MAN.

CONGRESS ALWAYS STATES THAT THEY STAND FOR POOR AND COMMON MAN BUT WE ARE SURPRISED HOW THE GOVERNMENT HAS TAKEN SO MUCH TIME TO REACT ON THIS WHICH SHOWS THE INSENSITIVE NATURE OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE WILL TEACH THEM A LESSON.

WE HOPE GOOD SENSE WILL PREVAIL ON DELHI GOVERNMENT TO REDUCE VAT AND TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE GOVERNMENT OUR PARTY IS PLANNING TO TAKE OUT A PROCESSION PROTESTING AGAINST THE HIGH VAT ON CNG, PETROL & DIESEL NEXT WEEK ON MAIN VIKAS MARG, EAST DELHI AND LATER WILL SPREAD ALL ACROSS DELHI AND MR. ANURAG KEJRIWAL ALONGWITH HIS SUPPORTERS WILL SIT ON A DAYS HUNGER STRIKE FROM 8AM TO 6PM AT A DATE AND VENUE TO BE DECIDED LATER INFORMED MR. MILAN GUPTA, PARTY SPOKESPERSON.
